Club Nintendo Coming To An End

Nintendo recently announced that their long running loyalty program known as Club Nintendo is officially coming to an end. Fear not however as the Big N did confirm plans to replace the program with a new customer loyalty program to be revealed in late 2015. To clarify, customers will still be able to earn coins until the end of March and spend said coins until June 30th when everything fully closes down. Gold/Platinum Rewards will still be issued this year but in April instead of the normal mid year timeframe. The Gold/Platinum Rewards will be in the form of a wide selection of downloadable titles for the Wii U & 3DS. For a full rundown on the closing details of the program, please read the full Nintendo disclosure here. Nintendo will continue to feature a variety of digital (and some physical) rewards beginning in February for members with a stockpile of Club Nintendo coins. As an additional thank you, Nintendo will also be giving a free 3DS download code to all Club Nintendo members for a copy of Flipnote Studio 3D in February. Enjoy!

Majora's Mask Gets Release Date, Trailer And Special Console

Nintendo revealed that The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D is coming to their popular portable a bit earlier than expected, February 13th to be exact. This is noteworthy because it is also the same day that the "New" Nintendo 3DS XL will be released making mid February pretty nice for Nintendo fans. Nintendo is also releasing a special gold Majora's Mask New 3DS XL but they were all pre-ordered within an hour of the system's announcement. Majora's Mask will see a variety of new enhancements including an improved Bomber's Notebook, a new save point system and full camera control for owners of the New 3DS XL or Circle Pad Pro. Enjoy!

Free Mega Man 27th Anniversary Album

Mega Man has recently turned 27 and as usual, the fans have decided to celebrate while Capcom continues to ignore the Blue Bomber. One of the latest projects is an excellent fan album titled Hyacintho Resilience. Unlike most fan albums, this one focuses on many of the less popular and lesser known Mega Man titles including Mega Man ZX, Star Force and the later X titles (X4, X5 & X6). This approach allows Mega Man fans to discover some of the sweet music from the Mega Man titles that were released during the darker period where Mega Man was being exploited by Capcom purely as a quick cash in. Enjoy!
