There's no denying the juggernaut franchise that Paranormal Activity has become. Four movies which which cost about 13 million to produce have grossed well over a half a billion dollars, not too shabby for a series that started with $15,000. Personally, I enjoy the series but I can clearly see its faults and why people love to make fun of it. Few people have been as successful with their jabs at the series as brentalfoss who produced a trailer after the debut of the third film which perfectly spoofs the formula used to make each movie.
