New Nintendo E3 Rumors Have Surfaced

Nintendo may be skipping the traditional big press show for E3 but some new rumor's point to them blowing out some big news leading up to the show through their Nintendo Direct show. These rumor's have been revealed by someone on the IGN forums known as the "100 Year Old Gamer" who claims to be tied to Nintendo in some fashion. This claim has yet to be verified and these rumor's should be taken as such until confirmation from the Big N but it should be noted that in the past, many of his predictions have been confirmed. Below are some of the juiciest tidbits he has revealed.
  • Nintendo could air multiple Nintendo Directs leading up the E3 starting May 30. He suggests there may be as many as 5 total Nintendo Directs tied to E3.
  • New 3D Mario will be "huge, bigger than any Mario game to date" and looks "unlike anything you've ever seen to date"
  • Retro Studios (Metroid Prime Trilogy, Donkey Kong Country Returns) new game may be revealed. New game is said to be futuristic, first person and something everyone wants them to do. This obviously leads many to imagine a potential new Metroid game which would certainly give Nintendo a big jump in the eyes of many hardcore gamer's.
  • When asked if "a certain Super Saiyan" would be joining Smash Bros (since Namco is involved), he said "it hasn't been decided yet, but there is a chance"
As stated earlier, this is rumor and should be taken as such right now but if this is true, Nintendo will be "kicking ass and taking names" at this years E3. You can read more Nintendo rumors here.
