Wii U eShop Getting More Indie Love

Digital titles from indie developers are quickly becoming as important as traditional big budget titles, especially with the economy continuing its downward spiral. Currently half of my Wii U games are digital indie games and while I despise digital retail games, I have been thrilled with these fun and original games considering they show more heart and soul than the typical FPS/open world game shoveled out endlessly each year.

New information has surfaced for 3 titles scheduled to hit the Wii U eShop. To "kick" things off, Kickstarter is continuing to drive new titles to the Wii U and this is apparent with the retro platformer "Another Castle" having just hit its goal. Next up is the Castlevania inspired "Blood of the Werewolf" which looks like a stylish action title with a lot of promise. Finally, we have a solid date on "Toki Tori 2" which has been described as the developer as a Metroidvania style puzzle adventure and should be a great addition to the Wii U since the WiiWare original was so fun. All three games are listed below with links to their latest trailers and developer sites. Enjoy!
